Started in 2015 by husband and wife, Gary and Kerry Stewart, Tall Oak Trading Co. celebrates both of their passions and expertise. Gary, a life long wood worker and craftsman, sources quality hardwood for his functional works of art. “I started my career in wood working as a young man when I worked as a helper for a local residential construction company.  Years later I started my own business building quality homes.   Eventually I started teaching carpentry and cabinet-making at a local high school where I was given the incredible opportunity to share my love for woodcraft with students for twenty-five years.  This newest venture has allowed me to share my experience and craftsmanship with customers all over the country.  All of my products are crafted with quality hardwood and are built to be used, enjoyed and handed-down to the next generation”.

Kerry, a beekeeper, organic gardener, and artisan soap maker, utilizes and takes inspiration from the flowers, honey, and herbs she cultivates. ”My side of Tall Oak Trading Company is the culmination of a lifelong focus on skincare products that are pure, natural and minimal. Much of my garden is dedicated to growing the flowers and herbs used in my products. My bees provide me with wildflower honey and sweet-smelling beeswax that I use exclusively in my line of lip balms. I formulate all of my products in small batches with absolute attention to quality and purity. All my products are packaged in eco-friendly containers that can be reused, recycled or composted. I am grateful to be able to share with my customers my passion for creating kinder, gentler products that look and smell the way nature intended them to”.

The two former teachers live, grow, craft, and cultivate on their property near The Delaware Beaches, which features a woodworking shop, large garden, apiary, studio, and their home.
